The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Product Development, Sales, Marketing and Client Relations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. This position is based in our Greensboro, NC office.
The Product Manager is expected to:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
- Be an expert with respect to the competition
- Work with Sales and Marketing to train and develop sales and marketing plans.
- Work with Client Relations to develop training requirements.
- Act as a leader within the company.
Required experience and knowledge
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Manager
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- 5+ years of experience in a job in the healthcare industry. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid processes is a strong plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable in technology
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
- Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus
- Technical background, with experience in software products
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in the USA
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
