Former Cone Health CIO Joins the Board of Proficient Health

GREENSBORO, N.C. – May 21, 2013 – Today Proficient Health, a privately held company specializing in information technology solutions for the healthcare industry, announced that John M. Jenkins has joined its board of directors. Jenkins is former vice president and chief information officer for Cone Health.

Before his retirement from Cone in December 2012, Jenkins was responsible for the technical infrastructure linking five hospitals and more than 100 clinics. He is a previous director of Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon and a former senior manager of management systems consulting for both Deloitte & Touche and Coopers & Lybrand.

“Proficient Health has great products and a great story to tell,” Jenkins said. “I’m delighted to join their team.”

Robb Hutchison, CEO of Proficient Health, says Jenkins technology and healthcare experience will benefit Proficient Health and its board.

“There is no substitute for the perspectives of someone who is steeped in the market we serve,” Hutchison said. “I look forward to the guidance John can bring to both future product development and to how we market our services to healthcare CIOs.”
